CJASN Online SUBSCRIBER HELP & SERVICES:

Frequently Asked Questions about Member Subscriptions

  1. Will I receive a password? May I share my password with friends, or is use limited solely to me?

As an ASN member, the ASN will provide you a Membership Number which you will use to activate your CJASN Online account. During the account activation process you will create your own login and password.

You are the only one licensed to use this login and password.

  2. What if I forget my password?

We have instructions for what to do if you forget your user name or your password. Details about how to do this will be included as part of the subscription process.

  3. As an ASN member why should I activate my subscription to CJASN online?

    ASN Members have access to:
Tables of contents, abstracts, full text searching, full text display, document delivery, PDFs, links to Medline and GenBank, future tables of contents, interjournal links to other HighWire Press journals, and the advantage of having password access to CJASN Online from any computer connected to the Internet.

  4. How can I tell if my institution has subscribed to CJASN online? How do I get my institution to subscribe?

If your institution has an online subscription, you will automatically have access to the tables of contents, abstracts, full-text searching, full text display, PDFs, Medline and GenBank links, and future tables of contents. You'll also see a button at the top of the page confirming you're signed in as part of an institution.

If you would like to have an institutional subscription, please urge your librarian or Technical Support Department to purchase an online subscription.

  5. Will I still be able to get the paper version? And for how long?

Yes, ASN members, as well as individual and institutional subscribers will continue to be able to receive the paper version for the foreseeable future. Non-member individuals and institutions may purchase paper and/or electronic versions as separate subscriptions.

  6. Who is eligible for a Member Subscription?

ASN Members receive access to CJASN online as a benefit of membership providing them with a paper and electronic version of the journal. Members may also have access to CJASN Online through an Institutional Subscription. Members can access CJASN online from any computer using their Journal login and password.

  7. How can I access the CJASN Online if I am not an ASN member and I don't have access through an institutional subscription?

The ASN encourages you to join the association as a member. Alternativly, you may purchase a subscription to the print and/or online journal. Without a subscription you have access to Tables of Contents, abstracts, and full text searching (without full text viewing) at no cost and without having to register.

  8. How do I become a member of ASN?

Information about ASN Membership and application forms are available from the ASN.
