Beginning with its next issue, the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (CJASN) will launch a new feature, Presse Rénale, that will provide our readers succinct summaries and brief commentaries on articles that are pertinent to the nephrology community and have been published outside the principal nephrology journals. This feature was developed in direct response to requests by the ASN membership and represents yet one more way in which development has been positively influenced by sage input from its readership. Presse Rénale will provide synopses of articles that are not routinely read by nephrologists and that have been selected for their potential impact on the practice of renal medicine. We are very fortunate to have enlisted Eberhard Ritz from Heidelberg and Jean-Pierre Grunfeld from Paris to cover the areas of chronic kidney disease and dialysis and of clinical nephrology and genetics, respectively. William Bennett, CJASN Editor-in-Chief, and Mohamed Sayegh, CJASN Co-Deputy Editor, will survey the literature on transplantation. Presse Rénale will cover four to five articles in each issue addressing one of these three areas in rotation. Watch for your January issue of CJASN for the inauguration of Presse Rénale, which will cover important papers in the field of transplantation.
