Cardiovascular Problems on Hemodialysis: Current Deficits and Potential Improvement

High cardiovascular mortality is the major cause of reduced life expectancy of patients who are on hemodialysis. Classical risk factors cannot fully explain the magnitude of the risk. This article addresses some nontraditional approaches to deal with the excessive cardiovascular risk for patients who are on hemodialysis
